As of late, I've been a bit overwhelmed with the size of my friends list. I've been having trouble just keeping up, let alone commenting to other's posts. California, Here We Come

Let's call this my Summer '06 Wrap Up.  When school let out in May, I was sure that this summer was going to be one of those unforgettable, life-changing, time-of-your-life summers.  Katie and I made lists of things we wanted to do and accomplish because lists are what we do. Well, I don't know what happened to my list, and I don't remember half the things that were on it.  I know I didn't accomplish or do most of them, but I am not disappointed. The summer turned out to be nothing like I expected, but it was filled with laughs, tears, and amazing memories that made the summer still the best to date.  Instead of doing things or going to far off places, I made new friends and got closer to the ones I love best.  I know I might not have been as happy as I could have sometimes, but when I look back on the past three months, all I see are happy memories and good times.  And those memories will be what gets me through this upcoming semester....along with all the new stories we'll create.

This one's for everyone who changed my life.

And I know, I really don't want any of this. You all have heard about my depserate misgivings of having to talk to any professional. But once again, I've had another intervention with the mother beast and I don't think I'll be able to escape this time. So, please do this for me.

Is it still too early to joke about it? Because I'd really like to joke about it. It turned out to be such a comical few days...despite the severity of it all.

If horoscopes were true, our should have read like this:

A Pisces, a Sagittarius, a Gemini, and a Scorpio are a dangerously fun combination today. Everything that can go wrong today, will go wrong. You will suffer many hardships and experience great losses throughout the duration of the day, but have no fear...there is light at the end of this dark tunnel. I'm putting together another Remus/Sirius soundtrack and I just wanted to know if any of you have any perfect puppy songs that you'd want included? I've got quite a few spots left on the cd and I'm fresh out of R/S songs.

I suppose this post belongs in lost_in_azkaban (my fic/icon/artsy journal), but I want it to have a bit more exposure, so I am posting it here.

Here's how the little story goes: There is this kid at my work who likes to write stories (how like me!) and he's into all the fantasy stuff as well. He was bored one day and I told him to write a Harry Potter story and off he went.  Comes back the next day and lets me read what he has... utter angst genius! From a little kid!  Some of the stuff he came up with is better than my plot bunnies!  We titled it "Harry Potter, Wizard Assassin" because of course, Harry turns evil and becomes Voldemort's personal hitman.  (dude, you have no idea!)  He's still not finished with it, but I told him that I wanted to illustrate a few pages just for the heck of it. 

And promptly began an obsession.

Behind the cut, is the "cover" for his story...been working on it for about a week... from sketch to final cover.
